The P100-186 Glass Break Simulator is designed to test Glass Break detectors.

The device will produce accurate sounds that mimic the shattering of glass.
When a glass break sensor hears the sound, it should trigger.
This will let the user know that the sensor is functioning properly.

Can mimic the sound of 3 different types of glass:

  • tempered,
  • plated
  • laminated glass

The Glass Break Simulator should ideally be used from multiple locations during the testing process. Doing so will help the user make sure that their glass break detector will work from different angles. The battery that should be replaced every few years. A red LED light on the device will indicate that the battery strong and that the simulator is in proper function. If the LED light does not illuminate, then the device most likely requires a battery replacement.

When testing any glass breaks, make sure to point the simulator towards the sensor. Ideally, the testing should be done within six feet of the sensor. The test should be repeated from multiple angles to make sure that the sensor can accurately pick up sounds from different directions.
